For the EDEKA headquarters in Hamburg we are looking for the 15th October 2025 or later as Trainee Controlling (m/w/d).

In the Controlling business unit, you are an important part of our team. You contribute to the ongoing reporting of the EDEKA headquarters and their holdings. In addition, you will participate in digitalization-oriented projects such as the redesign of the reporting platform and participate in M&A projects. Within this area, you will get to know various departments that we define individually together with you. In addition, you have the opportunity to explore an adjacent interface area of your choice. You will experience the practical working life in wholesale and retail directly on site. This is a great opportunity to gain comprehensive experience and deepen your understanding of our industry. As a trainee, you take challenging tasks from the first day and will be optimally prepared for your future function in the controlling of the EDEKA headquarters. You're moving this with us: You support your team in monthly reporting to management, annual budget planning and preparatory annual financial statements. Your analyses and evaluations of financial and operational key figures support management in corporate management (e.g. identification of differences between the individual negotiation groups in the purchasing controlling). You participate in cross-departmental projects, such as the digitization and redesign of the existing reporting platform or the implementation of sustainability reporting. You support your team in larger projects, including M&A projects, major investments, BI, AI or robotics projects. You'll start presentations and reports for management and other stakeholders. You are right with us if you are an entrepreneurial mindset and acting as well as a high commitment and team capability! And you have: You have successfully completed your studies in business management with the focus on controlling or a comparable degree program. You bring entrepreneurial thinking and action as well as a high level of commitment and team capacity. You have practical experience in controlling in the form of internships or training - ideally in the field of trade. You have very good German skills and fluent English skills.
