The county county of Bentheim actively deals with the consequences of climate change and develops strategies and measures to prepare the county and its municipalities for future climate change. As part of the implementation of the Niedersächsische Klimagesetz, an employee*in is sought to strategically coordinate and develop the climate change adaptation in the county of Bentheim. This position is central to achieving climate protection targets and offers the opportunity to actively participate in shaping a sustainable future.

Creation, updating and coordination of the climate adaptation concept § 26 NKlimaG Coordination and networking within the county administration, municipalities and other actors to implement adaptation measures Development, initiation and coordination of climate adaptation projects including funding acquisitions and support of funding applications Conception and implementation of information, accompanying and specialist events and public relations Monitoring climate adaptation and compilation of reports, evaluations and decision templates

successfully completed studies in the fields of environmental science, geography, spatial and landscape planning, sustainability management, climate protection/adaptation or a comparable qualification alternative: successfully completed engineering studies with reference to climate protection and climate adaptation or a comparable qualification Knowledge of the impact of climate change as well as climate adaptation measures as well as experience in creating strategic concepts and/or project management are desirable high self-initiative, strong communication skills and a structured way of working Identification with the goals of climate protection and sustainability Joy of networking and interdisciplinary cooperation
