Dual Study 2025 Social Security Law - Pension, Rehabilitation and Insurance

The German Pension Insurance Confederation and millions of social security workers depend on professionals who are in social security law. With the dual study “Social Insurance Law – Rente, Reha and Insurance” you will become a true expert and remain in constant exchange with insured persons, pensioners and your colleagues. At the same time, it opens up a perspective with numerous chances of ascent. You acquire your theoretical knowledge in the field of law with the focus on social security law, economics and social sciences. In addition, you get first practical experience during your studies and can apply the learner directly. With the completed study you can take responsibility later and develop yourself professionally. The Your research focuses on social security law, further law, economics and social sciences. The theory modules law of statutory pension insurance and adjacent security systems, civil law, tax law and commercial instruments of New Public Management, including corporate management and human resources management, form the basis for your subsequent practical activity and take place at the federal university in Berlin. Practice In the practical modules you learn together with other students and trainees. Together with the learning consultants, the young people form a responsible team. During the practical phases, you apply your theoretical knowledge, deepen your communication and cooperation skills and prepare for your later work. At the beginning, you work under the guidance and later on independently on real insurance and pension matters. The practical modules always take place at the respective place of study. Future activities Your later activities are diverse. For example, you will carry out the processing of the concerns of the insured persons (e.g. from the clarification of the insured accounts, the recognition of periods of contributions to the compensation of divorce), as well as the processing of the concerns of future and existing pensioners (e.g. pension re-application, pension recalculation, pension repayments and much more). The processes in the DRV Bund are mostly already digitized (e.g. electronic file), so your later work is supported by IT systems.

You have (special) abitur or will get it until the start of your studies. You can inspire yourself for legal texts. You work independently and responsibly and have social competence. For students whose place of service is not Berlin, the costs for 2 family homes and 2 arrivals per month as well as for accommodation (private rooms at the joint hotel) are taken over during the theoretical modules in Berlin. In addition, we pay a separation fee of 14€ gross/day. From 24.09.2025 – 30.09.2025 we organize onboarding days for common learning. The start of the contract is therefore already the 24.09.2025. On 01.10.2025, the study begins at the university. .
