Early Childhood Educator / Social Pedagogue (Daycare Center) (m/f/d)

We are the Juwo – Kita gGmbH from Berlin, a subsidiary of the free children's and youth support institution youth residences in Kiez. Children and their families are at our hearts. Therefore, our six kitas can be found in the gravel where our commitment is most urgently needed. From 01.09.2026 or at the closest possible time, we are looking for an educator/social pedagogical specialist (w/m/d) for the Open Elementary section (OEB) of our Kita Lasius line in Berlin-Spandau. The Kita is located in the Spandauer Neustadt in a renovated old building, which offers space for 54 children from 3 years old, as well as in a new building in which 33 children under 3 years of age are cared for. On the basis of open work and early excellence, the diverse functional spaces open up numerous possibilities for children to develop their skills: studio, children's restaurant, workshop, exercise room, role playing room, etc. Also a spacious outdoor area with a beautiful old trees can be used. With the attached family center, the Kita is an open place for the family, in whose center the child stands. The OEB (Ü3) focuses on promoting children in their own initiative and self-employment. Individual interests and strengths of children are supported more strongly. Your duties As an educatorin / social pedagogical specialist (w/m/d) you accompany the children in their individual development and build a trusting bond. You form, promote and support the children according to the Berlin educational program. You offer participative offers and projects. Here you are guided by the interests of the children, picking up each one where it is. You work with the children, the families, the team and other stakeholders. If you like, then you can let your skills flow into the connected family center and make your own offers there. Your profile A state recognition as an educator (w/m/d) or a comparable degree as a social educational specialist (such as childhood education, education, social work) is a prerequisite, as is German language knowledge at level C1. We look forward to working as much as experienced professionals who are already familiar with the concept of Pikler education, inclusive or open work. You want to further train or even have additional qualifications, such as for example as a specialist for participation and inclusion. You see the child and his family as a whole. You can expect this from us Remuneration: Our salary system is coordinated with the works council and is between gross €20.27/hour and €27.21/hour (corresponding to the pay tables of the TV-L in Berlin 2025). Additional qualifications (such as FK participation and inclusion) are rewarded with a further 170 € gross/month. Jobticket: We grant your Germany ticket job or your VBB company ticket. Security: You will receive an indefinite employment contract and become part of a large intermediary, which is a firm size in the carrier landscape and has over 40 years of educational experience. Holiday: You will get 30 days holiday and in addition the 24.+31.12. as free days. Four-day week: for part-time employment, we allow you to divide the working time to four days/week.
