You will work in an international team and develop innovative IT solutions in the global context together with our specialist areas. The IT Mercedes-Benz Cars Operations ITO is responsible for the IT system landscape, which is used for the production of vehicles and the associated peripheral components in all Mercedes-Benz AG plants. Our team CoC Shopfloor Monitoring & Plan Maintenance focuses on control systems and systems for machine and operating data acquisition for the shopfloor. We are responsible for system design at several production sites worldwide, for example in Germany (Sindelfingen, Rastatt, Bremen, Untertürkheim) and in the USA, Hungary, South Africa, China, Poland, Romania and Slovenia. Powertrain includes both highly efficient, conventional motors and transmissions as well as future-oriented alternative drives such as e.g. the electric drivetrain, batteries for plug-in hybrids or battery-electric vehicles BEV. With our products and systems, we support the process in production, assembly, powertrain and raw construction, painting and assembly in the construction works. In addition, we develop and maintain systems for energy management in order to pursue sustainability goals and efficiently control the use of valuables and the consumption of waste in the plants. Among other things, we are responsible for implementing tracking tools that enable a transparent disposition and reduction of resources to maximize the ecological efficiency of production sites. We are currently working on a new documentation presentation and website of our applications based on GitHub Pages and other frameworks. Here you come into play! These challenges come to you: Active cooperation in interdisciplinary projects, in particular in the shopfloor and sustainability environment Working with new documentation concepts for applications in the shopfloor sector and our sustainability applications Care and content design of websites via GitHub Pages Support in the care of ETL pipelines with Python (depending on previous knowledge) Content design of the website of the applications in the intranet Creation and continuous updating of documentation pages with markdown, HTML and CSS Independent creation of presentations and technical specifications Own creation of meaningful presentation documents and specifications Working with other exciting topics The work student activity can start from August or September 2025.

Enrolment at a German university or university in the course of studies Computer Science, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering or comparable courses German and English language skills in word and writing Knowledge of at least one programming language, preferably markdown Basic knowledge of GitHub Pages is desirable Experiences with documentation frameworks such as Docusaurus or MarkText are beneficial

Secure handling of MS Office and AI-assisted assistants such as ChatGPT is assumed
