Lead Expert Systems Engineering Unmanned Systems (w/m/d) The MDS Engineering division provides cross-section development services at system, hardware, and software levels. The team ''UxS Systems & Mission Automation'' is responsible for the commissioned development works in the environment of unmanned systems. We are looking for a*n Lead Expert Engineer Unmanned Systems (w/m/d) at the Fürstenfeldbruck site at the closest possible time to support MGCS projects in the System of Systems.

The MGCS Main Ground Combat System will be a land combat system used from the 2040s to far into the second half of the century, which will replace the Leclerc and Leopard 2 combat tanks. However, the new weapon system will be more than just a fighter armor, because innovative and digital technologies for networked operations and the possibilities of unmanned and automated processes are taken into account in the development. HENSOLDT MDS is represented here in particular in Pillar 6 Sensorik, Surveillance UAS.

Coordination, guidance and independent implementation of UXS development tasks using modern methods and tools in complex development projects Technical planning and coordination of UxS development at project level General responsibility for the technical system conception with all relevant internal and external stakeholders Definition, validation and review of system requirements Total responsibility of the system model from a technical point of view (functions and data) Total responsibility for implementing complex technical requirements in system concepts, architectures and designs related to relevant technologies and standards General responsibility for technical documentation (e.g. specifications, design descriptions, architectures) Adaptation, design and continuous optimization of development and production processes (system) Defining modules and subsystems in close consultation with responsible disciplines (e.g. hardware, software) including technical evaluation make- or buy decisions in coordination with project management Technical/technical sales support in the initiative and offer phase Technical coordination of various specialist teams including Mentoring and Knowledge Transfer Responsibility for the quality of design artifacts and achieving system performance Planning and coordination of system verification and qualification Determining and ensuring the selection and compliance of the standards/ standards necessary for the task Self-implementation of system development structures in time, cost and quality (project-wide) Participation in defining and embossing development road maps and reusable components/modules Responsibility of internal and external standardisation projects Negotiation, representation and enforcement of technical shares vis-à-vis customers, authorities and partners

Complete university studies in a technical field (aerospace technology / electrical engineering) or comparable qualification Long-term, versatile and relevant professional experience Experience in the field of unmanned systems Enhanced experience in the field of flight system dynamics/flighting Experience in the environment of simulation (HiL/SiL) and related modeling Knowledge of prototyping & testing Knowledge of navigation (GNNS/INS) Experiences in the environment Requirements Engineering (DOORS) Influential experience in dealing with architecture standards and best practices, such as design patterns Knowledge of System Engineering, Process Management (Atlassian JIRA, Confluence) Service orientation (internal, external) Experience in managing subprojects, projects and project teams Communication and contact strength Sovereign occurrence Team skills Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing The willingness to travel to a small extent is assumed.
