Welcome aboard! - We are looking for you as a pedagogical director with administrative responsibility at the Artern Training Center (m/w/d)!

The VHS TRAINING SWERK has been active in Artern since 2013 and has also developed here in a short time into a solid part of the regional structure of the training and labour market, in the active networks of the social area and youth work, and in the summer of 2023 has moved the main site to Artern and moved the new training site with the new modern workshop rooms.

Your duties

In this responsible position, you take over the pedagogical leadership and, together with the commercial management, shape the further development of our education area. Joint responsibility with commercial management

They work closely together in the management team and jointly bear responsibility for:

• the strategic development of the site
• ensuring the achievement of targets in the framework of budget and performance planning
• the representation of the site to the outside
• compliance with legal, contractual and internal requirements
• the implementation of decisions of management
• the design of a constructive and value-estimating leadership culture

You agree with the regional management or Management.

Your primary responsibility for education

Professional and pedagogical control

• Technical management of all measures at the site
• Ensuring and developing professional quality, pedagogical concepts and quality standards
• Technical supervision of technical, measure and project management

Leadership and personnel responsibility

• Leadership and development of employees at the site
• Implementation of employee talks (in cooperation with the commercial management) and responsibility for personnel matters and documentation
• Joint job and personnel deployment planning
• Participation in recruitment, dismissals and labour law issues in coordination with the commercial management, regional management and the personnel department

Management of measures and cooperation with cost providers

• Technical development and control of offers and participation in tenders
• coordination with cost-beneficiaries in technical matters
• Evaluation and further development of measures

Network and cooperation work

• Cooperation with central network partners (e.g. Jobcenter, youth offices, agencies)
• Cooperation in specialised working groups and care of regional cooperation

In the case of prevention, the pedagogical and commercial management represent each other.

Our requirements for you

• Qualification: completed studies or comparable qualifications e.g. in social work, social education, educational management or comparable areas
• Professional experience: multiannual experience in education and training, youth assistance or in the management of education and training Social projects, ideally with leadership responsibility
• Pedagogical expertise: experience in the control of educational processes and in the further development of technical concepts and quality standards
• Legal knowledge: knowledge of relevant legal bases, especially in the social and educational field
• Communication and IT competence: Safe handling of common IT applications and a structured and value-assuring communication method
• Leadership competence: Impressed leadership and organisational ability as well as joy in cooperation in the management team
• Driving licence required
