About us This key role is decisive in shaping the safety, environment and sustainability of the site in Mittereich. With expertise, leadership experience and strategic vision, a working environment is created in which safety, environmental awareness and responsibility are firmly anchored. Your duties Development, implementation and continuous development of the location-wide EHS strategy in close coordination with the location management as well as business unit wide coordination as a global function within the BU Professional and disciplined leadership of the EHS team including budget, resources and project responsibility Sustainable strengthening of preventive safety and environmental culture through risk assessments, training and structured action programmes Ensuring compliance with all relevant labour and environmental requirements including responsibility for waste, emission and plant management (EHS as the operator of the filter systems) Construction, maintenance and further development of emergency, crisis and fire protection concepts including coordination with internal and external bodies Support, further development and effectiveness testing of EHS management systems (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001), implementation of internal audits and monitoring of external certifications Central response function for authorities, reviewers and external stakeholders, in particular on issues of immissions and environmental protection Your profile Successfully completed technical studies (e.g. mechanical engineering, process engineering or comparable) and qualification as a specialist for occupational safety Multiannual professional experience in the field of EHS, occupational safety, environmental and fire protection in an industrial environment Very good knowledge of relevant legal regulations and practical experience with EHS management systems Impressed leadership and communication skills with a sovereign, convincing appearance at all levels Structured, self-responsible operation and high decision-making and action security, even in challenging situations Very good English skills as well as safe handling of popular MS Office applications Your Benefit As open as SCHOTT is for your further development, our offer of additional benefits is as extensive.
