Infrastructure Specialist – Engineering Platforms (m/f/d)

Ensure administration, configuration and continuous optimization of complex engineering infrastructure and application systems Stable deployment and lifecycle management of Linux-based operating system landscapes, as well as implementing hardening requirements to protect internal and external threats Support the integration of modern container platforms and provide the necessary infrastructure resources Maintain technical documentation of the interfaces to central IT, accompany change processes and analyze their impact on performance and availability Systemically check the service portfolio of the Central IT, preferably integrate central IT base services according to the principle “Standard-before-Build” and treat complex disturbances together with hardware manufacturers as third-level support

Complete computer science/system engineering degree or comparable technical training as well as several years of professional experience in the IT infrastructure environment Expert knowledge in the administration of enterprise server hardware (e.g. HPE, Dell), storage systems and virtualization technologies including associated management tools Deep understanding of enterprise network services (DNS, DHCP, IPAM), network protocols, security concepts (firewalls, VLANs, certificate management) and secure administration of Linux distributions (RHEL, SLES, Debian) and sound Bash‐/Python scripting skills Experience with central IT service management, ability to efficiently request and interface coordination, analytical and structured work and cool use in critical fault situations Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing and flexibility for occasional national and international missions
