Senior System Engineer Cloud Operation (m/f/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With more than 8,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. Together with us, we are concerned about the future digital capability of the Bundeswehr. Senior System Engineer Cloud Operation (m/w/d) from now on and in full time at one of our BWI locations.

The App&In department, as a central organization unit within Central Operations, has the task of ensuring a demand-oriented and high quality of service operation processes. With process know-how, knowledge of the services operated and an offensive action, the department provides central services. With a new team, we take care of cloud applications. Under the hood of the container orchestration tool Kubernetes we support applications with the aim of providing geoinformation for the Bundeswehr.

2nd Level for pCloud Services Based on Kubernetes, Docker in Operation Automated deployment of containerized applications Monitoring and optimization of the platform by the targeted use of logging, monitoring and tracing Creation of release and deployment plans by ITIL Creation, installation, testing and implementation of software and configuration changes taking into account the existing IT infrastructure Processing of faults according to BWI specification (interception, error analysis, troubleshooting) Participation in the development of training concepts and training of new colleagues Maintenance and further development of technical documentation Ensuring usability

Completed 3-year professional training and additional training (e.g. professional informatics) or completed subject-related university studies About 5 years of professional experience or 2 years of professional experience after studying Experience with Kubernetes & Docker in the cloud/container environment Safe handling of Git and GitOps workflows (e.g. ArgoCD) Experience with HelmCharts, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code Flowing German knowledge
