You design and manage the solution architecture of the offline component of the Digital Euro as a highly available and safety-critical application system. You develop strategic architectural approaches for the processing, storage and synchronization of transaction data in offline operation and evaluate different solution variants in terms of security, consistency, performance and system stability. You develop concepts and methods for ensuring data integrity and consistency in distributed systems, as well as for avoiding, treating and dissolving inconsistent system states (e.g. split-brain scenarios) and for reintegration of offline states into a consistent overall system state. You use cryptographic procedures and security mechanisms to ensure authenticity, integrity and confidentiality and evaluate new technologies (e.g. Secure Elements or Post-Quantum procedures) in terms of their operational capability. Analyze and evaluate potential attack scenarios in the offline context and execute appropriate security measures. You will develop technical documentation, decision-making and strategic templates for technical and overarching project decisions. You control and coordinate the professional development of the offline component in your team and coordinate architectural solutions in the international project. You work closely with the ECB, other central banks as well as external service providers, and you participate in overarching technical decisions in the Digital Euro environment.
