As a claim manager of the Global Construction Projects department at ZEISS, you are the central expert in fees, construction costs and construction contracts. You act globally in project phases to examine, negotiate and deny unsettled claims. Their role is crucial for protecting ZEISS and increasing the efficiency of our projects. In close cooperation with the project management, you manage controversial demands and contribute significantly to the success of our construction projects. Implementation of comprehensive audit and assessments of submitted requirements of planners and construction companies, including legal, contractual and technical aspects

Development and implementation of strategic approaches to negotiating controversial demands in close cooperation with the project management

effective cooperation with internal and external partners and transparent communication of results and recommendations to all stakeholders for smooth negotiations

proactive identification and assessment of potential counterclaims, analysis of infringements and enforcement of legitimate claims

Implementation of risk analyses for early identification of potential problems and implementation of preventive measures

Creating detailed reports on negotiation status and results for management and relevant stakeholders

Support in strategic planning through forecasts and scenario analyses as well as advice on complex construction costs and fees

a successful degree in the fields of architecture, construction/economic engineering or comparable qualification, ideally with an additional qualification in the field of contract law

multiannual relevant professional experience in project management or in the construction project management of complex new/reconstructions or in claim management

excellent analytical skills and contractual understanding

a very independent, independent working and flexibility

a high level of team and communication skills

a strong negotiating skill and enforcement ability as well as sovereign handling of internal and external stakeholders

knowledge of German and English in word and writing
