The Board of Directors is responsible for the work of the deacons, conducts the current transactions and is responsible for the implementation of the decisions of the General Assembly, the Association Council and the Bureau. The Executive Board is responsible for the perception and representation of the interests of the diaconic work by co-operation in the League of Free Welfare Care, in the competent bodies and working communities of the country, as well as the municipal associations, as church work by co-operation in the institutions and working groups of the Landeskirche and the Evangelical Church in Germany and the Diakony of Germany, and finally as an association of ecclesiastical and diaconical institutions by the representation of the public work. You are Chairman of the Board of Management, General Representative* of the Diakonic Work and, together with two colleagues, lead the Regional Office of the Diakonic Work. You represent the Diakonische Werk Württemberg in the bodies of the Württembergische Landeskirche and the Diakonie Germany - Evangelisches Werk für Diakonie und Entwicklung e.V. You coordinate the representation of the diaconic work in state, church, society and public. You promote cooperation between the four church welfare associations in Baden-Württemberg.

Ordination and theological reflection and communication skills, multi-year experience in community work/farr service and diaconic work. The proclamation of the Gospel in church and deacons is a special concern to you. You have relevant leadership experience in complex organisational relationships and economic knowledge. You have profound knowledge of relevant developments in church, state and society, are interested in innovation and open to new developments through digitalization in diaconic and ecclesial work. You have experience in association work and social policy. You are team-ready and maintain a cooperative leadership style, have strengths in the ability to think structurally, process-oriented and conceptually. You are ready to use modern management instruments, are flexible and reliable in handling complex framework conditions.

The Landeskirche is expected to appoint the Chairman of the Board of Management and the Chairman of the Board of Management as an extraordinary member of the Oberkirchenrat. Special church-leading responsibility for the Evangelical Church is perceived in this function. The term of office is limited to ten years, re-election is possible. The official shall not apply again. .
