Full-time project manager for exhibitions and publications

Exhibitions: Responsible for the planning, organisation and implementation of exhibition and special projects and associated cooperations in close cooperation with the Directorate and the curator:innen Support in the development of the exhibition design (architecture, design, etc.) and the cooperations in close coordination with:the competent curator:in Control and coordination of exhibition production in close cooperation with the curator and the curatorial team, various departments within the museum (e.g. house technology, communication) and external works Creation of contracts with cooperation partners:inside, artists:inside and external service providers Supporting the editorial process of exhibition-relevant texts (e.g. wall and object texts) Creation, maintenance and monitoring of project plans incl. Timetables Monitoring of budgets in close consultation with the curators responsible:inside Creating reports and final documentation after the exhibition Publications: Advising the curatorial team in the content development of the catalogue projects Coordination of catalogue projects: Development and construction of book projects Control and coordination of all internal and external parties (incl. contract creation), including publishers, author:innen, translator:innen und Lektor:innen, Grafikbüro Support of the editorial process (Lektorat and Korrektorat, Satzfahnencor) Dependent on the project: image editor and image rights clarification or accompaniment of curatorial assistance in the image editor and in the image rights clarification Coordination of delivery and issue of catalogues

Complete university studies of the Museology, Cultural Management or a comparable course of study or relevant professional experience in the mentioned field of work Professional experience in the museum or cultural sector, ideally in exhibition production Experience in publishing Very good organizational skills, structured work and secure time management Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Reader and secure application of Microsoft Office Knowledge in MuseumPlus (required) Good communication skills and team orientation Negotiating skills and resilience also in case of time pressure and occasional operations outside regular working hours Very good English skills in word and writing, other foreign languages of advantage
