Product and Application Manager SAP D&S, MM / EWM (m/f/d)

From the specification to the tendering, awarding, quality assurance and order control to logistics and processing, Bw Clothingsmanagement GmbH (BwBM) is responsible for the entire value chain of the Bundeswehr clothing – from shoes to helmet. In this way, we dress up about 250,000 active soldier soldiers as well as reservoirs and civilian employees of the Bundeswehr. In order to ensure that SAP Defence & Security is permanently stable together with MM and EWM and grows with the requirements of our customer, we assume the role of a Product and Application Manager SAP D&S, MM / EWM (w/m/d) IT product management | Cologne in an indefinite fixed order. We have recently successfully introduced SAP S/4HANA in the Greenfield approach. We use a specific part of SAP Defence & Security (D&S) in conjunction with the SAP MM and EWM modules to map the equipment and actual condition of the clothing and equipment of soldiers. In your role, you are responsible for the product lifecycle management of this solution and act as an interface between business and IT to ensure the optimal use and further development of our SAP applications. The area The IT product management team is responsible for the technical support and further development of the BwBM SAP system landscape. It works closely with IT service management, logistics and locations. The team currently comprises seven employees – by the end of 2027 a growth is planned to 13 places.

You bring SAP experience and use it in ongoing operation as well as in strategic development. Your tasks include: Together with a team member, You take responsibility for the Product Lifecycle Management in SAP D&S and ensure that the solution is optimally used and developed. In doing so, you will determine, evaluate and consolidate requirements – in particular from our sites, the SCM departments, the corporate strategy and performance contracts Create user stories and business cases and ensure realistic resource, appointment and budget planning In addition, you plan and run autonomous (part-)projects – from initialization to successful completion Furthermore, coordinate and control our external service providers and implementation partners to ensure smooth implementation

The focus is on the ability to understand, structure and lead SAP requirements into implementation – communicated to addressees at all levels. Ideally you bring experience from one or more of the following areas: Graduate in Business Administration / BWL, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification Multiannual experience in the introduction and operation of SAP solutions in the modules SAP MM/EWM or D&S, ideally with experience in customizing Funded process knowledge, preferably acquired in a logistics company, in the public sector or in the Bundeswehr environment Experience in project management (agil, hybrid, classical) and stakeholder management High communication competence at all levels (including C-level) and German knowledge at C2-level Why the role of us is exciting This position is created because S/4HANA is freshly introduced and is now to be developed permanently in the house.
