We are the Juwo – Kita gGmbH from Berlin, a subsidiary of the free children's and youth support institution youth residences in Kiez. Our six kitas can be found in the gravel where our commitment is most urgently needed. From 01.08.2026 we are looking for an educator in parttime with 25-35 hours/week in the open elementary field (Ü3) for our kita in Friedrichshain. Here you will meet a lively and creative team who likes to travel outside. The renovated old building is located on the grounds of the Vivantes Klinikum and in the Volkspark Friedrichshain. There is room for 43 children, mainly for the children of the clinic staff. The Kita is characterized by an open concept that focuses on participation. Education is a holistic process. We are guided by the Early Excellence approach where each child is recognised as an excellent individual. A small garden with lawn, sandpit and old trees invites children to play. Various functional spaces such as a roller game room, a studio, a movement room and a children's restaurant offer the children numerous suggestions. Your duties As an educator*in / social pedagogical specialist (m/w/d), check out the Kita Weekly Calendar in the morning together with the children and plan the day with them and the team. For us one of the most beautiful moments of the day! You accompany the regular offers, such as the ALBA sports or the day of excursion. You form, promote and support the children according to the Berlin educational program. You observe and document their development. You work with parents, relatives, the team and other stakeholders. Your profile A state recognition as an educator (w/m/d) or a comparable degree as a specialist (such as childhood education, education, social work) is a prerequisite. German language skills are also mandatory at level C1. You want to further train or even have additional qualifications, such as, for example, as a specialist educator for integration / inclusion. You have experience with open work or are interested in the concept. You like to work with children and understand parents as partners. You like park excursions and like to consider outdoor activities. You have clear educational beliefs and know why you are doing the job. You understand different cultures as an enrichment of our society. You bring your personal skills into work, whether singing, yoga or your green thumb – we are excited! You can expect this from us Remuneration: Our salary system is coordinated with the works council and is between gross €20.27/hour and €27.21/hour (corresponding to the pay tables of the TV-L in Berlin 2025). Additional qualifications (such as FK Integration) are rewarded with a further 170 € gross/month. Jobticket: We grant your Germany ticket job or your VBB company ticket. Security: You will receive an indefinite employment contract and become part of a large intermediary, which is a firm size in the carrier landscape and has over 40 years of educational experience. Four-day week: For part-time employment, we allow you to divide the working time to four days/week. Holiday: You will get 30 days holiday and in addition the 24.+31.12. as free days. Adventure: The Kita is located directly on the Volkspark, where there are countless opportunities to be active every day - barefoot running in the brook, building boats or exploring animals are just a few examples. Nutrition: Every day we are freshly cooked vegetarian by one of our Juwo-Kita cooks, and we also have a special expertise in “food and participation”. Collaborative activities: team days, celebrations and original actions are part of the Juwo culture.
