Control and professional support of external service providers in the design of an integrated concept for sustainable climate adaptation and for natural climate protection Analysis of climatic risks and concerns of the municipality (e.g. heat, heavy rain, drought) Evaluation of existing data, specialist planning and studies Identification of municipal areas of action of climate adaptation Developing a catalogue of measures with prioritization for the development of implementation strategies Ensuring the content of the climate adaptation strategy with existing specialist planning and development concepts (e.g. urban development, green area planning, climate protection concepts) Integration of climate adaptation as a cross-sectional task into existing administrative processes and structures deriving indicators on success control and monitoring with timetables and objectives Coordination, participation and construction of municipal adaptation management Project planning and implementation of future measures in climate adaptation Reporting and ensuring compliance with the funding, including documentation and demonstration, as part of the support measures for the climate adaptation concept and future climate adaptation measures Preparation of policy proposals Presentation of results in political bodies

a degree (Diplom (FH) or Bachelor) in the scientific field with a deepening in: climate change or Climate impacts Climate protection or Climate adaptation or

equivalent skills acquired by Diploma (University)/Master degree in the aforementioned field German in Competence Level C2 according to the European Reference Framework for Non-Mother Languages In addition, In-depth knowledge of environmental, climate, and nature conservation law Basic knowledge of planning law Knowledge of the right to grant Knowledge of procurement law Experience with GIS and spatial data Project and funding management
