The University Library aligns its range of services with the strategic objectives of the TU Braunschweig and the needs of its benefiters and consistently represents the goals of Open Science. It works heavily on service and research and actively participates in the further development and implementation of the TU Braunschweig's digitalization strategy. The University Library develops and operates a nationally oriented information infrastructure with the Pharmazie Information Service and cooperates closely with researchers from computer science and other libraries. It also participates in cooperative software development in national open source communities. As the most important information provider and the largest learning centre of the university, the University Library is also open to interested civil society and exchanges with the numerous scientific and cultural institutions of the city and the region.

As Director*in, you are responsible for the strategic development of the University Library and thus a central infrastructure facility of the TU Braunschweig. You will cooperate intensively with other institutions within the university, especially in the TU9 Alliance and with regional, national and international partners. As a member of the CIO Board, you actively participate in the digitalization of the TU Braunschweig and develop the topic of Open Science in particular. As a communication-strong personality, you continue to develop an innovation-promoting leadership culture in the University Library and its systematic organizational development as a prerequisite for the successful design of digital change.

You have a successfully completed university degree programme, as well as the ability for career group 2, second entry office, scientific libraries or comparable information science degrees. You can demonstrate multiannual executive and management activities and proven practical results in libraries or scientific institutions. You have a wide range of forum and cooperation experience with national and international partners. You have already successfully recruited third-party funds You have above-average strategic, conceptual and organisational capabilities combined with initiative, innovation and enforcement You communicate transparently, your leadership style is participative and diversified The further development of a positive, motivating and error-tolerant work culture can be seen as an elementary aspect of your activity You bring team spirit, are very socially-competent and highly resilient You express themselves very well – in writing and orally in German and English.
