In the ADAS sensor fusion and controller team, we process vehicle sensors, such as radar and camera systems as standard, as well as internal measurement variables, into a consistent environmental model with objects, lanes, etc. For this purpose, we develop robust estimation methods for determining the vehicle states and the environment, which also systematically take into account uncertainties. These observers form the basis for model-based longitudinal and transverse dynamics controls and enable precise and safe vehicle behavior in the commercial vehicle everyday. THE WORK Development of robust, real-time controller and online estimation of vehicle states Conception and implementation of model and data-driven observers to estimate the vehicle environment Serial implementation on the control unit with focus on numerical robustness and computing time tests and measurement data acquisition on prototypes; practical validation and further development of approaches in the closed loop
