In your role as Expert Database Management (m/w/d), you are responsible for the Application Database Administration (ADBA). Our focus is on Oracle products, but also other SQL and No-SQL databases. As a communicative:r contact:in and team player:in you will see the interface to all areas involved to ensure the optimal use of your databases and the availability of the optimal solution.

You are responsible for the 24/7 availability and performance of all supervised databases by analyzing and optimizing the systems and building efficient monitoring. You are responsible for the operation of our databases according to the specifications. You coordinate and drive independent, targeted processing and upgrading of highly complex incidents through cooperation or Control with the Incident Management, Service Management Center, Development Units, Test, Internal and External Suppliers and Service Providers. You opt for the database quality and performance through permanent analysis of the errors (incident/problem management) and regular review meetings with the development partners as well as the test and application operating ranges. You are responsible for recordings and patches to ensure the security and compliance of our databases. You are responsible for the quality criteria and specifications as well as the quality of the implementation of new software deliveries for the databases. You create the operating and system documentation and ensure the processes for your update. You are contact:in for the users of the databases and service management. You ensure complete and process-compliant processing of changes, incidents and problems of the databases.

What distinguishes you: Successfully completed (specialized) university studies in the fields of (economic) informatics, economic engineer or business management or technology or a technical training or long-term experience in the field of IT infrastructure and data center, IT operation, IT engineering and/or IT development. At least 5 years of professional experience in IT, preferably in the IT operation of complex system landscapes, software development, IT consulting or IT architecture environment, especially databases. Very good technical knowledge and certification for databases in large heterogeneous IT infrastructures: Oracle Databases, Oracle OGG, Oracle OCI, MySQL/Percona, Teradata, Cassandra, AWS Aurora, PostgreSQL, Informix, MS SQL. Knowledge of database performance optimization & query tuning. Founded SQL identifiers. Knowledge and certification of databases in cloud environments, e.g. AWS, OCI, Azure. Multiannual experience in supporting database systems. Multiannual project experience (e.g. migration projects, introduction of new software etc.). Comprehensive process and IT-TK know-how, ideally in the telecommunications industry. Very good knowledge of server and client HW, operating systems (e.g. Linux/Unix/Windows), databases and standard applications (ERP, CRM, Billing). Expressed analytical, solution-oriented and entrepreneurial thinking and action. Good ITIL knowledge. Knowledge of operating systems (e.g. Linux/Unix/Windows) and ideally IT architectures and databases (e.g. Oracle/Hadoop). Knowledge in a programming language e.g. Python, Java and Unix Scripte. The ability to prepare complex issues in a address-oriented manner and to deal with customers in a safe manner in a negotiated manner, supplier:inside (also internationally). Flowing English knowledge (C1 to GER). Flowing German knowledge or the willingness to learn this timely.
