Head of the University Library (m/f/d)

We are looking for you as a director of our University Library (m/w/d) at the next time! In this central function, you are responsible for the entire development, organization and operation of the University Library – in the construction phase as well as in the later regular operation.

Management & Strategy: Total responsibility for the operation and further development of the University Library incl. Personal management, budget management and process management New building & technology: Building the library as a modern learning and research location incl. Space Conception, IT Systems and Digital Services Services: Development of an innovative, barrier-free and user-oriented service portfolio Literature: Ensuring acquisition, licensing and provision of print and e-media Research support: building open access and FDM services as well as consulting and training offers Advice & bodies: Technical advice of university management and participation in university bodies Representation: Representation of the library at national and international level Third-party funding: development and management of third-party funding projects

Studies: Completed studies (Master) in library and information science or studies with additional library education Experience: Multiannual management experience at scientific libraries, ideally in university context Knowledge: Knowledge in Library Management, IT Systems, License and Copyright Personality: leadership skills, strategic thinking, team skills and organisational skills Language: Very good German knowledge, reliable English Remarkable: Experience in third-party application, promotion
