The body shall be occupied in full and parttime employment as of 1 October 2025. Remuneration takes place according to the classification rules of the respective domestic collective agreement A.P. and is possible in the event of the personal condition in the remuneration group A4.

At the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus Dresden, the University Center for Orthopaedics, Accident and Plastic Surgery (OUPC) combines medical excellence, state-of-the-art research and excellent teaching under one roof. As a supra-regional trauma center and endoprosthetic center of maximum care, the OUPC offers an innovative, interdisciplinary structural model: Specialized teams take care of the complex disorders and injuries of the musculoskeletal system in closely linked sections - from spinal column to upper extremities to pelvis, hip, knee and foot. The range of services goes far beyond classical orthopedics: acute care around the clock, child and rheumatoid orthopedics, tumour treatments, sports medicine with care of the Olympic base as well as modern plastic-surgical interventions make the OUPC a center of maximum performance - for patients of all ages and every challenge.

Your tasks:

Head of the spinal trauma section and leadership of an interdisciplinary team in the spinal column centre Self-fulfilment and supervision of special telephone hours in the spinal cord Planning, implementation and follow-up of complex spinal operations Implementation of assessments and consiliary assessments in interdisciplinary issues Active participation in the stationary spinal column service and the call service system Expansion and further development of clinical and scientific expertise in spinal surgery Conducting and implementing scientific projects focusing on spinal issues Construction and maintenance of cooperations with cross-sectional centres, rehabilitation partners and regional networks Clinical-strategic guidance of the university spinal board for case-related therapy planning

Completed study of human medicine with full acceptance as a doctor Successfully completed training as a specialist in orthopaedics and trauma surgery Qualifications in the field of spinal surgery from the Academy of the German Spinal Society (DWG) are advantageous Interest in scientific work in obtaining habilitation Excellent knowledge in the field of orthopaedics and trauma surgery Special knowledge, skills and skills in the field of spinal surgery General medical knowledge
