In a direct line to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, the main task of this position is to act as a technical expert for health, safety and environmental protection (EHS) within operations, processes, decision-making and new projects at SW Pharma GmbH's industrial sites. Provision of specialised expertise and technical support for operational areas and projects to ensure that pharmaceutical production is carried out under optimal safety conditions and taking into account environmental protection. Cooperation with all areas and the HQ in Spain and other relevant functional stakeholders to ensure the optimal design and implementation of EHS standards in Schiffweiler and to promote a proactive prevention culture. Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the applicable safety, health and environmental standards in order to protect internal and external employees and operational processes. Continuous maintenance and improvement of EHS standards by introducing harmonised technical criteria and ensuring effective implementation. Cooperation with a global network of technical professionals to exchange best practices for EHS and to obtain guidelines for their local implementation at industrial sites. Tasks: Implementation of risk assessments for activities, products, processes, installations, investments and changes as well as assessment of environmental aspects. deriving and proposing appropriate measures to minimise or eliminate risks and environmental impacts Tracing accidents, near incidents, incidents and occupational diseases at the site. Implementation or support of accident investigations, derivation of appropriate prevention measures and regular monitoring of the implementation of the agreed measures in consultation with all stakeholders Implementation of training and instruction in the areas of occupational safety, health and environmental protection (EHS) and participation in the creation and further development of the training content for the site Detection, reporting and tracking of EHS metrics (KPIs) at the location, e.g. in the areas of accidents and incidents implementing the technical tasks related to the environmental aspects of the site, in particular in the areas of emission measurements, wastewater management and resource use Ensuring compliance with occupational safety and environmental standards and defining criteria for implementing and monitoring activities. These include: Creation and maintenance of EHS-relevant documentation Creation and maintenance of hazardous material cataster Review of legal requirements in the various fields (including ArbSchG, BetrSichV, GefStoffV, BImSchG, WHG/AwSV, Waste and Water Law) Establishing personal and collective safeguards Participation in meetings of the Safety and Health Committee and at meetings with safety and environmental officers at the site Working in cross-departmental teams together with executives and other departments Participation in internal and external audits of the EHS management system, customer audits and audits by external partners such as insurance companies or government inspections on health, safety and environmental issues Participation in the review and further development of the documentation of the work, health and environmental management system and the creation of new technical guidelines and work instructions for the site Promoting a proactive prevention and security culture and a continuous improvement process by identifying and implementing initiatives to increase efficiency and optimal use of available resources Development and proposal of training and training programmes in the areas of safety, health and the environment for employees Support in the implementation of fire protection and improvement measures and evacuation exercises

Successfully completed technical studies (safety, environmental, process or utility technology, chemistry or mechanical engineering) or comparable training Knowledge of German Industrial and Environmental Law (ArbSchG, BetrSichV, GefStoffV, BImSchG, WHG/AwSV, Waste and Water Law) knowledge of explosion protection (e.g. TRGS 720 et seq., ATEX) and the use of solvents in production Experience in the independent control of projects or subprojects in the technical environment High quality and responsibility awareness, team skills, commitment Embossed structural and operating mode Analytical, solution-oriented and structured working methods High flexibility and durability as well as a great degree of independence, reliability and enforcement Safe handling of current MS Office applications Flowing German knowledge (at least C1) in word and writing, as well as good English knowledge (at least B1 level) At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in the fields of EHS, such as occupational safety and environmental protection, in a manufacturing company
