The network partners are around 140 municipal works – regional and supra-regional energy suppliers and network operators from all over Germany as well as the West Energy – which have joined together in an association without the intention of winning. Through sustainable cooperation, the association enables quick access to competencies and solutions for the success of the energy transition.

For 25 years, the network partners have been a steadily growing community for knowledge transfer, solution development and networking at a strategic and operational level with 10,000 active professionals and executives. Projektmanager (m/w/d) Location: Essen | Start: from now on | Full time You accompany and advise our member companies in the financing of their energy and infrastructure projects – that means: you analyze and evaluate these projects and start credit votes as well as decision templates. You increase the investment readiness of municipal works and EVUs – from financial figures to business cases to market maturity. You are structuring tailor-made funding for energy transition projects and integrierly matching funding. You accompany contract documentation as well as the implementation and monitoring of ongoing engagements. You advise municipal works and EVUs on financing and investment issues. You coordinate cooperation with home banks, funding institutions and local actors. You work on projects and develop financing products and processes. You support internal control processes such as controlling, reporting and budgeting, and prepare knowledge for members in practice.

You have several years of relevant professional experience in the fields of financing, consulting or controlling – ideally in the energy sector or in the infrastructure sector. You have a completed training or study with reference to BWL, VWL, Finance, Accounting/Controlling or (economic)engineering with finance focus. You have a good understanding of energy business models (e.g. municipal works, EVUs, infrastructure projects). You bring experience in the fields of financial analysis, business case assessment and investment accounting. You work analytic and structured and can easily prepare complex content. You have experience with project or structural financing in the energy sector and ideally also knowledge of funding, financial modeling or ESG. You have very good knowledge of German in word and writing – good knowledge of English is an advantage.
