System Engineer for Battery Technology (m/w/d)

We offer a wide range of services to our customers, including Sonars and Sensors, Guide Systems for submarines and overwater ships, mine defence systems, unmanned underwater vehicles and radio and communication systems.

As a system engineer for battery technology (m/w/d), you are responsible for designing system concepts and architectures of underwater vehicles. Your focus is on battery technology. This includes the design of batteries including the associated testing and charging technology. Furthermore, your tasks include coordination of various tasks in the field of energy storage systems (e.g. coordination with subcontractors, internal qualifications, offers). This includes the technical and process control in the team. The moderation of discussions with industrial development partners and the contracting authority or internal departments round off your field of activity.

You have completed your studies in the field of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Mechatronics or a comparable course of study. You have already been able to gain several years of professional experience in a comparable position. You also have experience in the design of complex systems. Ideally, you can already gain experience in the field of battery technology/ electrochemical energy systems and bring a basic understanding in the software area (C/C++). You use your experience to take a controlling role in the team and make clear and structured decisions in all situations. Communication strength, self-initiative, enforcement ability and an independent way of working. You enjoy occasional missions (national, possibly international). Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing complete your profile.
