Mechatronics studies combine elements of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and computer science. The aim is to develop and operate complex mechatronic systems. You will be well prepared to develop and advance future technologies such as the Internet of Things, Sensor Technology or Industry 4.0 projects. The share of the study at the dual university in Friedrichshafen provides you with the theoretical basic knowledge of the company's practical aspects, in which you get a direct insight into the work area of a mechatronic engineer. The practical components take place in cooperation with our industrial sector and you work in production-related development topics such as measurement and test equipment development, digitization and automation of production, process development and electromechanical interfaces. Theory and practical components change regularly. Additional qualifications include content of electronics and microcomputer technology, applied mechatronic systems and basics of operation and business. In practice, as part of the team, depending on the progress of your studies, you take appropriate project tasks to the bachelor's thesis. You are therefore active in a responsible environment of the company and gain insight into the project work, work processes and the processing of engineering tasks.
