Network Administrator (m/f/d)

As Network Administrator (m/w/d), you play a central role in building, operating and developing our modern network infrastructure. Together with our IT team, You ensure a secure, powerful and highly available digital environment and actively shape the technological development of our network landscape. In detail, your tasks are as follows: You are responsible for the operation and continuous development of our network environment – from LAN, WAN and WLAN to VPN solutions to modern software-defined networking concepts. Configuring, managing and optimizing our active network components such as routers, switches, firewalls and access points – including Aruba and Fortinet. Together with our IT security team, you develop and implement security measures, optimize firewall rules and actively help secure our infrastructure against internal and external threats. You ensure high network availability through proactive monitoring and continuous analysis. In case of malfunctions, you identify causes, develop sustainable solutions and ensure a quick recovery of the operation. You support network projects from conception to implementation and drive the modernisation of our infrastructure to meet future requirements. You provide a current and structured documentation of our network topology, configurations and operating processes, thereby creating transparency and sustainable operational capability.

You have a degree in the field of computer science, a training as a specialist in system integration or a comparable qualification with corresponding professional experience in the network environment. You have profound knowledge of TCP/IP networks and practical experience in routing technologies (e.g. OSPF, BGP) and switching concepts. You work independently, structured and analytically and convince by a solution-oriented approach as well as pleasure in the continuous improvement of technical solutions. You have good knowledge of German and English to understand technical documentation and to cooperate safely with international teams.
