Number: MER0003W8G In Group Research & Mercedes-Benz Cars Development (RD), we design the automotive generations of the future. We mean innovative products with the highest quality and efficient development processes. We are already working on vehicles that will secure the technology leadership of Daimler in the future. The development of electric vehicle drives is a core competency of Mercedes-Benz AG and therefore an essential part of our future strategy. In electromobility, Li-Ion batteries are the key technology. The Battery Development Center (RD/EB) is responsible for the development of high-voltage batteries in Mercedes-Benz AG and the RD/EBK department is responsible for cell chemistry further development and the development and release of single cells as well as cell modules. We develop production processes for the latest cell technologies with the aim of producing the best batteries and minimizing the CO2 balance of cell production. Development plants are used for this purpose, which offer a wide range of parameters for optimization. Chemistry and process engineering are implemented here in practice. The internship is scheduled for 6 months. These challenges include: Optimisation of test systems for processing electrodes for battery cell production Development of new measurement methods for evaluating the processing quality Planning / Evaluations / Documentation / Presentation of experimental campaigns Close cooperation with all trade unions The internship ideally begins March or April 2026.

Course in Process Engineering, Chemistry or a comparable degree course Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Safe handling of MS Office Commitment and team skills Analytical thinking and strategic working Please note that your internship at this site must have a prescribed mandatory share.
