About us For our Corporate R&D we are now looking for a 'Head of Laser & Post Processing Development' (m/w/d)*. Your duties Identification and evaluation of strategic development priorities and projects for the development of innovative, laser-based technologies for glass processing and other specialty materials with the latest high-end laser sources and systems Planning and prioritization of development projects including human resources and investment projects Ensuring the professional development of further processing processes of glasses, glass ceramics, special materials and material bonding (cutting, structuring, joining, and forming processes). Understanding complex problems and technological solutions with a young, dynamic and experienced team of scientists, engineers and technicians Consulting internal and external customers as well as acquisition and management of projects from the Business Unit Market observation and contact management to universities and research institutes for the detection of changes and innovations in laser processing as a basis for the orientation of the development strategy Project and Cost Center Controlling and Department Budget Planning Your profile Higher Education (Master) in Physics or Process Engineering, preferably with Doctorate Mind. 6-8 years of professional experience in research and development, e.g. in the management of development projects and experience in the further processing of glass, glass ceramics, laminates of glass and optimally in laser processing processes Negotiating English Experience in leadership of teams (>10 persons) Readiness worldwide Your Benefit As open as SCHOTT is for your further development, our offer of additional benefits is as extensive.
