Professorship (W2) of Neurological Acute and Intensive Care Medicine

The professorship is structurally assigned to the Clinic and Polyclinic for Neurology of the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus Dresden and strengthens in particular the research focus “Neurological Diseases” of the Medical Faculty and its areas “interdisciplinary neurological acute and emergency medicine”, “special neurological intensive care”, “adjuvante intensive medical therapies in the context of brain injury” and “different neuromonitoring”. The professorship is linked to the position of the teachers and teachers of the Department of Neurology of the Faculty of Medicine Carl Gustav Carus as well as to the management of the neurological intensive care unit and the neurological subregion of the central emergency reception. Ideally, you are researching in the field of interdisciplinary and specific neurological acute and intensive care and are already identified nationally and internationally and intend to actively contribute and integrate into the further development of the research focuses (Neurological acute care in the pre-clinic and central emergency care, clinical intensive care, neuromonitoring) as well as on-site neurological teaching. We expect you to have a demonstrable experience in acute and intensive care and the willingness and ability of internal interdisciplinary networking with other departments in acute and intensive care at the University Hospital Dresden. We are looking for a personality with national and international research experience. Ideally, you are already known by internationally visible publications with reference to the field of appeal and can demonstrate experience in the recruitment of competitive third-party funds. We require detectable and well-founded experience in managing an intensive care unit in all areas. In addition, you have extensive experience in the field of university teaching, have already implemented your own innovative teaching projects and have already been a teacher. Teachers.
