System Engineer Development Tools for IT Platforms (m/f/d)

You take the lifecycle management of tools throughout the software development process – with a focus on mainframe(z/OS) tools used in decentralized Windows environments (e.g. IDEs, Debugger, Version Management, AI-based code analysis). Your tasks include the design and implementation of release changes of development tools and integration into the R+V development platform. You work together with your team on agile methods such as Kanban or Scrum and ensure the successful implementation of the tasks. Developers are advised and supported on questions and problems. If necessary, you also perform user trainings.

You have a degree in computer science or a comparable training (e.g. in the field of technical informatics for system integration) as well as relevant professional experience. Extensive experience in the integration of tools such as IDEs, Debugger, version management and code analysis, ideally for SW development on the mainframe, will distinguish you. You master script languages such as Unix-Shell, PowerShell, Python or REXX and bring the willingness to learn new technologies. Your strong communication skills help you both in cooperation with internal and external partners – also in English. Ideally, you have already gained experience in software development (e.g. with Java or COBOL) and the application of professional development tools. Good knowledge of German in word and writing (at least at least B2-C1) complete your profile.
