Solution Architect Manufacturing/Production (m/f/d)

You take responsibility for the solution architecture in the field of production/manufacturing within a production-critical environment and continuously develop it strategically taking into account the company, production and IT strategy analyse IT and OT requirements holistically taking into account production processes, automation, Operational Technology, Industrial IoT as well as current market and technology trends and control the implementation of suitable scalable solutions You advise executives, decision-makers and production managers on architecture, digitalization and technology topics in the relevant field Designing together with specialist departments, production areas and IT/OT consultants You actively participate in digitalization initiatives, introduce innovative ideas and moderate workshops for decision-making Management and cooperation in identifying, designing and implementing modern IT/OT systems, platforms and transformation projects in the production environment Ensuring the functionality, performance, high availability, scalability and efficiency of IT/OT systems and the underlying infrastructure Ensure compliance with technical standards, IT security, OT security and data protection requirements as well as current best practices and compliance requirements Support in the development, standardization and optimization of existing IT/OT system landscapes and production platforms Close cooperation with colleagues from production, engineering, supply chain, infrastructure, cyber security as well as external partners and technology providers

You have completed your studies in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Automation Technology, Production Technology or a comparable qualification At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of IT architecture, enterprise architecture, solution architecture and/or software development as well as sound knowledge in business and production processes (IT & OT) and related applications Deep understanding of modern production processes, manufacturing IT and Operational Technology (OT), in particular in the areas of Smart Factory, Industry 4.0, MES, SCADA, IIoT, Edge Computing and Production Integration Found experience in IT-Requirements Engineering and in Business Analysis – ideally complemented by project experience in production and Manufacturing environment High technical knowledge of modern enterprise and cloud architectures as well as current state-of-the-art technologies, including: cloud and hybrid cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), Kubernetes/container orchestration, Docker/containerization, Microservices architectures, Event-Driven Architecture, API-First and Service-oriented Excellent problem solving capabilities as well as pronounced analytical and conceptual thinking skills Strong communication and presentation capabilities to convey and actively promote technical concepts and complex architectural decisions Team skills and experience in cooperation with different internal and external stakeholders from IT, OT, production and business Cloud & Tech: Very good practical experience with cloud solutions, modern architecture principles and technological transformation projects in the enterprise and production environment Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
