Tasks:

• Selection of suitable measuring principles
• Design of measuring instruments, development of measuring sequences, calibration methods, signal filters and analytical methods
• Transfer of physical principles and approaches to high-performance algorithms
• Start-up of complex measuring machines for the optical qualification of high-performance optics, qualification of these and acquisition of production support
• technical responsibility for managing work packages and projects in this area

Profile:

• scientific or technical studies (physics, technical optics, mechanical engineering, mechatronics or comparable) on master level, with doctorate
• well-founded knowledge of optical measurement technology, in particular of interferometric or spectroscopic measurement methods
• deep understanding of measurement algorithm development, calibration methods, error budgets, data analysis and processing, adjustment of optical components
• Programming skills, preferably in Python or MATLAB
• High self-motivation, commitment and interest in thinking topics further
• very good knowledge of German and English
