The Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf pursues the goal of further developing the districts and quarters as liveable places through an integrated urban and district development. Increasing focus is on the development of quarters as places of identification, integration and coexistence, as well as strengthening neighbourhoods. It is currently a place in the urban planning office in the area of urban renewal and integrated quarter development. Become part of our team!

Your tasks include:

• Acquisition of room coordination and the development, development and evaluation of (integrated urban planning) development/action concepts and documentation of the results
• Implementation and coordination of complex processes and measures for integrated urban development based on development/action concepts, including in the context of urban development
• Meetings/ Negotiations with specialist offices and external project partners for the implementation and development of programmes and the promotion of integrated cooperation within the city administration
• Participation in networks in the district and promotion of quarter work by networking the existing diverse activities and actors in the neighborhoods and districts; Central contact person for local actors and the different levels of administration and politics
• Planning and conducting regular, accompanying internal and external communication and public relations, including during events such as conferences and workshops.

Your profile:

• Bachelor or Master of Science - Department Geography, Urban Planning or Spatial Planning with a focus on urban/local development or comparable degree
• practical professional experience in integrated quarter development and/or city marketing desirable
• high social competence, good and addressable communication skills, safe occurrence, administrative experience and communicative sense of advantage
• analytical and networked thinking as well as expertise
• Ability to analyse complex facts and to present the results in a comprehensible and graphically prepared manner
• agile, independent, solution-oriented and responsible work, high performance.
