Senior Consultant (m/w/d) We are looking for you for the Youth Office of the Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart. The body shall be placed in parttime (80 %) and indefinitely on 1.10.2025. Childcare is an integral part of the child care in Stuttgart. Currently, around 1,050 children from 193 qualified day caregivers in small groups are supervised with a familiar reference person – individually, family-oriented and publicly funded. We examine the personal and professional suitability of future nurses, accompany the procedure for granting the care permit and ensure compliance with child protection. In addition, we actively contribute to the conceptual development of day care in Stuttgart – innovative, professionally sounded and always in the sense of children and families.

You grant and check care permits according to § 43 SGB VIII and may process Inconsistencies You are responsible for the suitability test procedure for day care persons and treat complaints – in close cooperation with our cooperation partner, the Caritasverband They develop and implement new projects, especially in the field of anti-violence in day care They carry out annual visits to the day caregivers They create concepts and procedures for promoting voluntary services and take over their authorisation They actively contribute to the organisational and structural development of quality standards in day care They participate in working groups or moderate them and take over training modules for day care persons

Bachelor of Arts Public Management graduate/in or comparable university degree; or Social education Social worker with state recognition or comparable educational degree with affinity for administrative work Specially qualified employees of the middle management service or employees with administrative vocational training and multiannual professional experience can also apply in the performance of administrative tasks with legal application good knowledge of administrative law/administrative procedural law (SGB I, VIII and X) and experience in the independent processing of contradictions Knowledge and experience in creating and implementing concepts Experience in social pedagogical work with children from 0 – 3 years desirable Flexibility in the design of working time
