Mechanical Designer Plant Planning & Steel Construction (m/f/d)

You develop and construct innovative individual machines as well as partial and total systems – from the first idea to the implementation, with state-of-the-art CAD technology (2D/3D). You'll create digital building layouts and setup/fundament plans for high-tech facilities that are used worldwide. You bring your creativity and know-how into the development and detailing of steel construction and pipeline systems – including production documents for international suppliers. You co-ordinate and enter external statistics, engineering offices and steel construction partners – and are the technical link. You work with the latest standards and guidelines in the steel industry and make sure that our systems are always up-to-date. You evaluate customer requirements both technically and economically – and find clever solutions. You work closely with internal specialist departments, international customers and suppliers – teamwork and networking included! You support sales in costing, technical concepts and project planning – your ideas are in demand!

A completed degree in mechanical engineering (focus on construction, plant construction or comparable). First practical experience in plant planning or machine construction – whether through internships, student work or professional entry. Safe handling of steel construction and relevant standards (ISO, EN, DIN). Very good CAD knowledge (e.g. Medusa, Creo or comparable systems). Good IT skills (MS Office, SAP or modern ERP systems). Analytical-structured mode of operation, rapid understanding and desire to solve complex challenges. Very good knowledge of German (min. C1 level), good knowledge of English and the willingness to travel internationally occasionally.
