You contribute to the investigation of accidents and serious disturbances in aviation. Your tasks include: Evaluation and analysis of records from flight recorders and avionics systems Presentation of work results in national and international investigations Participation in international working groups with a focus on flight recorders and avionics Creation and maintenance of technical process instructions within the framework of knowledge management

You should bring this with you: Completed scientific higher education as Master of Science or Dipl.-Ing. of the disciplines Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, Electroacoustics, Audio Communication and Technology or comparable Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing This distinguishes you: Knowledge of the legal basis of flight accident investigation (Regulation (EU) No 996/2010, FlUUG, Convention on International Civil Aviation with Annexes) Knowledge of electrical, space and psychoacoustics (sound transformation, digital signal processing) and audio communication knowledge in measurement technology, data recording and processing, in particular with regard to procedure and limits in the interpretation of measured values Experience in the evaluation of flight recorders and avionics systems (e.g. CVR, FDR, ECU, navigation systems) Knowledge of at least one higher programming language Knowledge of basic design and experience in repairing electronic assemblies and components Pilot licence (e.g. SPL, PPL, LAPL) readiness for business trips, in individual cases also short-term and multi-day worldwide Ready to use biologically and chemically contaminated devices Ability to process sensitive information partially under time pressure and with psychomental stress Impressed ability to carry out work orders in a larger area of responsibility on time and independently Impressive capacity for constructive, supportive and reliable cooperation with diverse target groups, even in situations with increased levels of uncertainty Impressed capacity for networked thinking, in particular in the consideration of inter-area dependencies and medium to long-term effects of decisions
