IT Specialist Media Technology

We make port: With great passion, we keep running the infrastructure of the Port of Hamburg around the clock. We are more than 1,900 HPA colleagues who drive forward advanced ideas to develop Hamburg's heart and make the port a bit more sustainable every day.

HPA's IT infrastructure includes all workplace computers, networks and servers and enables the use of digital media both internally and externally. We provide technology from telephone to data center or coordinate the integration of external infrastructure service providers such as cloud services. With the Security Operations Center, abbreviated to SOC, we operate the headquarters for all security-relevant services in the HPA IT environment.

In the Workplace Solutions unit, you will take care of media technology together with our team of specialists. You support our internal and external customers as a service provider to ensure smooth operation and further development of internal media technology.

You will be able to take care of medientechnische Anlagen in meeting, conference and event rooms independently and take on their structure and setup, with you also mastering complex tasks in the 1st and 2nd level support. You can quickly and analytically and structured to efficiently solve technical challenges. In addition, you take the technical support of events, meetings and presentations as well as the error analysis, maintenance and optimization of complex audio, video and control technology. You support the planning and implementation of new media technology solutions as well as the documentation of systems, processes and configurations. You also bind external service providers independently, tax them and coordinate their use. Your role is rounded off by the independent management of subprojects in complex and time-critical construction projects and the development of new communication solutions to meet customer requirements.

You have a completed training in IT or in the field of media technology (e.g. as a specialist informantin, event engineerin or media designer*in image and sound) or a comparable qualification. Thanks to your well-founded knowledge of sound and video technology, you can safely master microphone technology, sounding, cameras, displays, signaling, signal distribution and streaming. In addition, you are confident with Microsoft teams and team video conferencing systems and have a strong technical understanding of networks and IT infrastructure. Through your high sense of responsibility you work independently and carefully. In addition, you perform tasks flexibly and reliably with consistently high quality and can convey complex facts in writing, as orally clear, understandable and addressable. With your analytical and structured thinking, you capture relationships quickly and securely, show special reliability in security-relevant service areas and are ready to work at changing locations and take on call readiness. Your profile is rounded off by working service-oriented and team-capable and thus contributing significantly to a smooth technical support.
