actively shape the digital infrastructure of the Berlin power grid Do you want to work with modern communication and fiber technology and make an important contribution to the secure power supply of Berlin? Then you're right with us. We operate, maintain and extend an approximately 7,500 kilometres long communication cable network of copper and optical waveguide cables in the secondary network. This infrastructure forms the basis for monitoring and remote control of the Berlin power distribution network and is therefore an indispensable part of a secure and reliable energy supply. As a cable monster, you will become part of a dedicated team of currently 27 employees and perform a variety of tasks in the development, maintenance and destruction of our cable systems. With your use, you will ensure that our communication connections work reliably and meet the requirements of an increasingly digitized energy world. The ongoing digitalization of the power grid opens up exciting challenges, modern technologies and diverse development opportunities in a future-proof working environment. Together we design the communications infrastructure for tomorrow's energy supply. Construction and extension of copper cable You mount copper cables as well as associated components and actively participate in the expansion of the communication infrastructure of the Berlin power grid. Maintenance, inspection and maintenance work You regularly check cable connections, sockets, closures and network components, identify possible vulnerabilities early and ensure the long-term operational readiness of the systems. Analysis and elimination of disturbances in the communication cable network You can locate faults in copper cable network using modern measuring and testing technology and carry out the necessary repair measures independently. Documentation and technical inventory of network infrastructure You document work, measurement results and changes to the systems in the respective systems and provide a current and comprehensible network documentation.

Complete training as an electronics technician for operating technology, electronics engineer for energy and building technology, information electronics engineerin, electronics engineer for information and telecommunications technology, cable engineerin or comparable electrotechnical training. Multiannual professional experience in the assembly, maintenance or dissolution of cable systems, ideally in the field of communication, telecommunications, glass fibre or energy networks. Basic knowledge of technical documentation and the handling of digital tools and documentation systems. Self-sponsored, responsible and solution-oriented working and the ability to systematically analyze and resolve technical problems. Teamability, reliability and operational readiness, in particular in the case of work in public space and in ongoing network operation. Driving licence class B, ideally BE or willingness to acquire it. Flowing German knowledge in word and writing.
