Mechanical Engineering at Ambu You will be joining a global Mechanical Engineering team consisting of many ambitious and dedicated members, located at multiple sites, and will be part of Engineering & Imaging, within the R&D organization. The team is diverse, highly skilled, and has many years of experience and expertise in developing the unique products that Ambu has on the market. Our mechanical engineering team at Ambu drives and owns the mechanical designs within our new development projects. We achieve this by engaging closely with global clinical experts to user needs and creating robust designs that ensure patient safety and value clinical. Through excellence in mechanical engineering - from concept development and prototyping to final design and optimization - we ensure that every component and product is manufacturable at scale, meets stringent quality requirements, and remains within targeted cost frameworks.
Your role in the team As the Mechanical Engineering manager, your role is to work together with the Engineering leadership as well as other relevant stakeholders to staff the ongoing projects and support the team members with direction and sparring within their tasks in product development projects from early prototype development to launch of new products. You will be responsible for a team of around 7 FTEs located at multiple development sites.
Your main areas of responsibility: People management for members of the Mechanical Engineering team, including people development and recruitment In collaboration with the Engineering leadership, ensure correct staffing of projects Bring your expertise to help improve and enhance our capabilities & tools within the mechanical engineering domain Deploy your expertise to ensure robust mechanical solutions in our development projects Driving and supporting strategic initiatives within Mechanical Engineering Close collaboration with the project managers to understand the resource needs, project timelines etc. Liaise with key stakeholders global Ambu related sites to Mechanical engineering, resources, and management. You will need to be prepared to travel approximately 10-15 days per year, primarily between our sites in Malaysia, Denmark and Germany.
