That makes this job interesting for me: Against the background of a growing number of power-electronic means of operation, the increase in power of the network and the introduction of curative modes of operation, the elimination of coal-fired power plants, the introduction of new technologies and the further increase in EE inputs, the system stability and thus the protection concept and the associated settings are a particular challenge. As an interface between asset management and operational system management, I have the opportunity to develop concepts and assistance systems, to secure the quality and to improve error analysis. At the end there is always the question: turn-on attempt or no turn-on attempt. My tasks implementation of network calculations (stationary, RMS & EMT) and evaluation of the correctness of the results in the network control system and analysis of faults in the transmission network; designing requirements for network protection devices; regular quality assurance of the protection adjustment parameters in the AC and DC network from the point of view of the system management, implementation of the requirements for Special Protection Schemes (SpPS) and Optimizer functionalities in the short-term range, and development of the adjustment specifications, Development of assistance system in the course of our control system project “MCCS”.

Master or Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering / Energy Engineering, system understanding for electrical energy systems and knowledge of the protection principles in the transmission network; knowledge of the network calculation with PowerFactory, PSCAD, PandaPower or Integral, Versified handling of MS Office, Languages: German at least C1, English at least B2. No need, but of advantage: Basic knowledge of station automation, network and communication technology, Versified handling of diagnostic and parameterization software, DIgSILENT stationware.
