Description

• As a doctoral student, you conduct a scientific research work (promotion) in the field of characterization and modelling of short-fibre reinforced plastic recycles for use in components under thermomechanical stress.
• They consider the entire process chain for producing corresponding plastic components in injection molding and their virtual imaging in the simulation.
• As part of the work, you examine the deformation and failure mechanisms under thermomechanical stress and transmit these findings in continental mechanical models for simulative imaging.
• Its aim is to enable the use of short-glass fiber reinforced recyclates by means of mechanism-based simulation approaches in the future.

Qualifications

• Education: Higher Education (Master/Diplom) in the field of engineering, materials science, applied mathematics or comparable
• experience and know-how: sound knowledge in the field of applied mechanics and in FE simulation; Basic knowledge in the field of plastics technology and plastics testing
• Personality and working methods: You are very happy to work in the team; in the pursuit of your goals, you are characterized by a high degree of autonomy and a high degree of commitment
• Enthusiasm: fun in experimental work
• Languages: very good German and English
