For the Clinic for Women's Medicine and Obstetrics at the Klinikum Itzehoe, we are looking for a Chief Medical Officer (w/m/d) at the next possible time as part of a regulated age succession.

This position is occupied in cooperation with our external personnel service provider Rochus Mummert Healthcare Consulting.

The clinic combines the entire spectrum of gynecology and gynecological oncology with a large birth aid under one roof. With more than 1,600 births annually and as a Perinatal Centre Level I, it plays a central role in the care of the region. As part of the oncological centre as well as the Holstein breast centre, the clinic also offers a highly specialized oncological range of services – supported by the most modern, also robotically-assisted surgical technique.

What you expect:

• General responsibility for the medical, organizational and economic management of the clinic
• Strategic and professional development of gynecology with special focus on gynecological oncology
• Expansion and profiling of the range of services in stationary and outpatient/hybrid areas
• Leadership and further development of a dedicated medical team and promotion of a value-adding and performance-oriented team culture
• Responsibility for childbirth assistance at the Level I Perinatal Centre in close cooperation with midwives, care and pediatrics
• further development and strengthening of existing center structures, especially in the breast centre and oncological centre
• Development and maintenance of a stable network to signators and cooperation partners
• Active participation in the strategic development of the clinic.

Your profile:

• Consultant (m/d)
• Special birth aid and perinatal centre as well as gynecological oncology (including medicamentous tumor therapy)
• Multiannual clinical and surgical experience in gynecology and childcare, in particular in the field of risk pregnancy and perinatal medicine
• Embossed operational expertise – ideally also in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgery
• Ideally additional qualification such as DEGUM II and recognition as Senior MammaoperateurIn
• Entrepreneurial thinking, organizational strength and strategic understanding
• Leadership with clear, value-adding and team-oriented attitude
• Interest and motivation to develop the clinic professionally and structurally
