Electronics technician (test laboratory) (m/f/d)

The DVGW Research Centre at the Engler-Bunte-Institut is a research institute of the German Association of Gas and Water Sciences (DVGW) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). With around 90 employees, we develop innovative solutions for the energy transition and secure and sustainable water supply. In the fields of energy technology, testing laboratory gas, water chemistry and water technology, we work together with partners from industry and research on the central energy and water issues of tomorrow. We combine scientific excellence with practical application. The Gas Test Laboratory is an integral part of the DVGW Research Centre. It examines fittings and components in relation to their compatibility with the requirements for gaseous fuels.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dedicated and professionally versed electronic (m/w/d) for the testing of fittings and components in the DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 accredited test laboratory gas. Focus: Valves and components Gas | accredited to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025

Expert on testing technical issues for testing fittings, electrical and electronic components based on national, European and international standards as a basis for certification Independent planning, implementation and supervision of testing of electronic product properties, e.g. EMC and electrical safety, etc. Selection and use of suitable measuring devices for electronic testing Documentation of test results and preparation of test protocols Maintenance and calibration of test equipment Implementation of surveillance checks focusing on Germany and Europe

Complete training as technician electronics/mechatronics or comparable qualification Multiannual professional experience in testing according to standards and test instructions Knowledge of the operation of test equipment and software (e.g. LabVIEW) Self-functioning, flexibility, reliability and durability Safe handling of current MS Office applications Customer orientation, safe occurrence and good communication skills Very good German and good English skills Standing for occasional missions driving licence class B knowledge of the gas and water compartment desired
