Important tasks – diverse and effective Introducing sound chemical and physical expertise to develop, validate and implement new material and production proposals for the vehicle interior of the future Developing and assessing trends for vehicle interior equipment and analysing suitable processes, materials and combinations of materials taking into account customer requirements and budget costs Coordinating and conducting chemical and physical analyses of materials and material associations in cooperation with internal and external laboratories, suppliers and customers Develop detailed material proposals and carry out experiments on material usability within the framework of development projects Active support in the optimization of manufacturing processes, in particular chemical-physical processes such as foaming, slurrying, adhesive bonding, recycle Calculation and compilation of product ecosystems (Life Cycle Assessments) and assessment of global chemical regulations (REACH, GADSL, VDA etc.), derivation and elaboration of resulting requirements for future processes, components and materials

Your profile – Competent and solution-oriented Completed studies, preferably the subject of chemistry or chemical engineering (ideally doctoral studies), also plastics or materials technology with corresponding professional experience At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in material development with regard to plastics and processes for automotive applications Expertise and experience in the chemical-physical field (analysis, development) as well as extensive experience in the production and evaluation of product ecosystems (LCA) Found material knowledge in the area of foams (e.g. polyurethane) as well as experience with manufacturing processes for the production of interior trim parts desirable Structured, targeted and creatively shaped work and talent to convince at presentations readiness to travel and oral and written communication security in fluent German and English
