This is what awaits you with us:

• Welding: Self-contained, you carry out superstructure welding work on our rails and switches. You use a variety of welding methods to process the work-up of switches and softenings, heart pieces and wheel guides. These include sub-powder welding methods, arc hand welding and metal arc welding as well as aluminothermic thermit welding methods. Possible deficiencies are recognized and corrected by you to ensure safe city railway operation.
• Grinding: You are responsible for grinding machining incl. Reprofiling the track line in our KVB track network to ensure the track profile according to the regulations of the VDV.
• Monitor: You monitor the construction performance, in particular special welding work and special grinding processes of foreign companies on behalf of the KVB and independently evaluate the performance results. You recognize any inadmissible results and report them.
• Support: With your expertise you support numerous processes. These include the acquisition and evaluation of key figures in the quality assurance of track systems as well as locksmith and workshop work. If necessary, you also support the winter service.

That's what you bring:

• Qualification: You have completed technical training (e.g. industrial mechanicin, locksmithin or mechatronicin). Alternatively, you are welcome with a conclusion in winter [for phone number see the original ad*].
• Expertise & Know-how: You know well in the application of various welding processes and have the permission to perform them or are ready to purchase them.
• Flexibility & mobility: You already own the driving class B. In addition, you are ready to obtain the C/CE licenses and the Strab certificate. Occasionary operations outside the usual working hours are a welcome change for you. You are open to call within the winter service.
• Training: You can extend your knowledge by participating in internal and external training.
• Personality & Working: You are characterized by an independent and safety-conscious way of working. Physically demanding activities are not an obstacle to you, and team skills are self-evident.
