To strengthen our team in Cologne, we are looking for a full-time 40-week-hour:n: PHP Software Developer (m/w/d)

Conception and further development of our school and university information system. Architecture: Planning and co-design of software architecture. The solutions are scalable, robust and flexible to enable future adjustments. Backend development: Creating complex modules, components and APIs with PHP and the Symfony framework. This includes the implementation of business logic, database connection, security measures and integrations. Quality assurance: monitoring and ensuring code quality through best practices, code reviews and tests. In cooperation with QA teams, you are responsible for faultless and prompt applications. Performance optimization: identification and elimination of power bottlenecks, including optimization of database queries, caching strategies and configuration improvements. Technological innovation: One remains informed about the latest developments in the PHP and Symfony world and brings innovative ideas to the team. You evaluate new tools, techniques and frameworks and integrate them into ongoing or future projects. Collaboration: Supporting team members in problem solutions and developing their skills. Together with the team, one promotes a culture of cooperation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Extensive knowledge and experience in PHP and Symfony development, including Symfony components, version management, collaboration tools and best practices. Understanding software architecture principles for designing scalable, robust and flexible solutions. Experience in developing complex backend systems and APIs. Ensuring code quality through best practices, code reviews and tests. Effective communication with team members, clear explanation of technical concepts and support for less experienced team members. Safe handling of GIT and Docker.
