Our client is an international trading company in the field of seafood and fine food that places the highest value on product safety and traceability. In a highly regulated food environment, the company works with global suppliers and international customers. For Hamburg we are looking for an experienced personality who, as Deputy Head of Quality Assurance (m/w/d), supports the operating daily business.

In the role of Deputy Head of Quality Assurance, you take on a central role and work directly with the QS and QM department as well as the management. You are also responsible for the operational management of quality management processes and ensure that all quality standards are complied with. Their role includes both the technical and organisational support of the team on site.

Ensuring the quality and compliance of standards (IFS, HACCP, BIO, MSC, ASC, GlobalG.A.P.) Creation and maintenance of product specifications as well as testing and release of finished packaging markings Monitoring legal requirements and ensuring product compliance Preparation of test plans and coordination of laboratory samples Processing and reporting of complaints to management Participation in certifications and crisis management processes Technical support and coordination of the QS team on site

Complete studies or training in food technology, quality management or comparable qualification Found professional experience in quality assurance, ideally in the food industry (e.g. Seafood, fresh products) Safe handling of quality management systems as well as relevant standards and legal requirements Experience with IFS, HACCP and ideally with BIO, MSC, ASC or GlobalG.A.P. systems High loadability and sovereign appearance even in stressful or complex situations Outstanding sense of responsibility and clear, diplomatic communication Team orientation, but also the ability to make clear decisions in difficult moments Good English knowledge of word and writing
