Fully qualified lawyer Banking supervision (m/f/d)

Location: Berlin Start: open As a banking association, we represent the private banks operating in Germany. Our mission: strong private banks for a strong economy. Our team banking supervision and accounting is looking for reinforcement by you as a full lawyer or full lawyer (w/m/d). This is an unlimited full-time job (39 hours per week) which is not part-time for work organization reasons. The team primarily addresses issues relating to European and national banking supervision law as well as international and national accounting regulations. The task is complemented by the requirements for the liquidity and risk management of banks. In the interest of our members, we develop positions on current topics and represent them to legislators, supervisors and the public - both in Germany and in Europe. We also support our member institutes in implementing legal and supervisory requirements.

You are self-conceived by the specialist topics that are assigned to you, which include legal and economic aspects. The focus will be to support issues related to prudent regulation and risk management. In cooperation with your colleagues from our member institutes, you analyze new regulatory requirements, identify implementation needs and develop action recommendations. You support the banking association in representing the interests of its members at national and European level towards legislators, ministries, supervisory authorities and other associations. You are a contact person for our member institutes.

You can demonstrate your ability to work in a structured manner, to capture complex facts and to illustrate them in a comprehensible manner by studying law and successfully qualifying for the full jury. We support the admission to/to the syndicate attorney. Practical experiences with banking or financial services and/or through activity in an association are helpful, but no prerequisite. Knowledge of banking supervisory law is advantageous, at the same time no need. Your work is characterised by self-responsibility, self-responsibility and self-motivation. You have strong communicative and social skills and can express yourself very well in English orally and in writing. You can convince your interlocutors, find compromises and enjoy the moderation of larger groups.
