Your duties As Head of Accounting (m/w/d), you are responsible for the technical and organizational management of the Accounting Group. You are responsible for the high-quality and on-time production of the annual financial statements according to HGB, taking into account bank-specific accounting and valuation regulations. In addition, you are responsible for the creation of the tax balance sheet as well as the determination of your own corporation and sales tax of the Sparkasse. In your function, you are the first contact person for the external auditor and accompany tax audits. With your well-founded expertise in commercial accounting and the secure application of balance sheet and valuation regulations, you are the main partner for financial issues. In your leadership role, you lead a dedicated team, promote independent and quality-conscious work and support the continuous development of accounting processes. A further focus of your activity is the consistent digitization of accounting – from automated document processing to digital support in the annual accounts creation using the financial information technology applications.

Your profile Completion of an economic bachelor's degree, savings bank business economist or business economist Multiannual experience in accounting in banks, ideally from the Sparkassen environment. Ideally leadership experience (e.g. leadership of teams/groups) Funded HGB knowledge and secure application of bank-specific accounting rules and relevant tax regulations Enthusiasm for digital processes and the ability to control change projects. Communication strength – both in the team and in relation to supervisors and board
